LA: We are going to be singing our ABC'S and working on the letters E,F,G and H. We will be doing worksheets that go with the letters of the week and then fun activities for that letter. For example, for the letter E we are going to make an elephant, F we are glueing feathers on the letter F, G is glueing
grass and then for letter H we will do handprints on a big letter H
Math: We will continue to work on counting to 10. We will also be focusing on the colors green, purple, pink and brown. We will be doing worksheets to go with the color of the day and then doing a fun activity as well.
Science: We will be talking about the Seasons and why the leaves start changing and falling to the ground. We are also going to be doing a leaf rubbing project.
Social Studies: we will continue working on reading a calendar and learning the days of the week!

Language Arts: This month we will focus on singing our Alphabet without help. We are also going to be focusing on one letter each week. The letters for this month are A, B, C, and D. The activitiy we are going to do is "Apple starts with A", so we are going to paint the letter A with an Apple. B is for bus, so we will be painting a letter B with a bus. Color starts with C, so we will color the letter C and Dots is for D, so we will decorate the letter D with bingo dabbers.
Math: We are going to be counting to 10 without help. We are also going to be focusing on our colors. The colors for the month are, red, yellow, orange and blue. I have coloring pages to do and I also have an art activity that we are going to be doing that has to do with the color of the day. For example, orange is one of our colors and the art activity is to glue orange yarn or paper on an orange caterpillar.
Science: We will be doing a fingerprint activity and then the children get to use magnifiying glasses to explore our fingerprints. We will then have a discussion and talk about how everyones fingerprints are different.
History: We are going to learn the days of the week.
For the week of "All About Me" I have a fun art activity that the parents get to help with. I'm going to be sending home a paper doll(boy or girl) and I would like you to decorate them to the best of your ability to represent your child. I would like them to be returned no later than the 31st of August, so we can have the children share them with the class and then put them on display.

We will be doing a lot of hands on activities this summer. We are also going to be making our own ice cream and learning how to have good sportsmanship and how to work together as a team. We will also continue to work on our colors and shapes and review the alphabet!!

LA: The letters that we will focus on are going to be I, J, K and L. We will also continue saying our alphabet without Mrs.Kristyn's help!!
Math: We are still going to be working on our colors and shapes. The students will be working on identifying all 10 colors and all 8 shapes. We are also going to be counting to 10 without Mrs. Kristyn's help.
Science: This will be a fun unit this month. We are going to be using magnifying glasses to look at jewels. We then are going to have a discussion on why eggs will only break on a hard surface and not on a soft surface. We are also going to have a discussion on why some objects are hard and some are soft and see if we can put them in the correct categories.
History: We are working on saying the days of the week and the months of the year!!

LA: We will be working on saying our ABC'S. We are going to be focusing on the letters Ee, Ff, Gg and Hh. We will talk about the sounds they make and what pictures start with those letters.
Math: We are going to be working on counting to 10 on our own. We will also be working on naming all of our colors. We are going to be identifying the following shapes: heart, circle, oval, square, diamond and star.
History: We are still learning the days of the week and how to read a calendar. What day will come after Monday and Tuesday and so on!
Science: We will talk about the ocean and the different things that live in the ocean. We will also talk about eating healthy and good nutrition for our bodies and then we will talk about the change in weather and talk about summer! I would like to also have a beach day and I will have more details on that when it comes closer to time!!

Student of the Month: Kaden Franek
FRIDAYS ARE SHOW AND TELL
LA: I'm going to be having a new class so I'm going to be starting from the beginning. We will be looking at the letters of the alphabet and learn to recognize the letters and do an art activity to go with the letter of the week.
Math: we will start by learning all the colors in the rainbow and then add black, brown, white and gray. we will also focus on our shapes; circle, heart, star, oval, diamond, star and square.
Social Studies: We will learn the days of the week and the months of the year, I have a song that we sing at cirlce time to help us learn each one of them
Science: We will be doing a fun topic for the month of April. We will be focusing on the season and the changes it has brought to us from the green grass to flowers to buds on the trees. We will all get to plant our own flowers and discuss how they will grow and what the flowers need to grow. We will also be talking about the weather from the wind to the rain!

LA: We will still be working on recognizing the letters in the alphabet. We are going to continue working on recognizing the letters in our name and finding our names. We will be doing a letter of the week along with the worksheet helping them trace and write. Flashcards will also be used still going in order and showing them letters out of order.
Math: We are still going to work on recognizing our numbers 1-5. We are going to start doing worksheets to help us recognize our numbers. We will continue going over our shapes and colors.
Science: We will talk about Spring and all the changes from the leaves on the trees and the flowers and how the grass turns green. We will also have discussions about babies and there mommies and have a discussion on how caterpillars turn into butterflies.
History: We are still working on the days of the week and following which days come next.

Science: This will be a fun month. We will talk about sinking and floating and discuss why some objects float and why some object sink. We will also have discussions about magnets and why only metal things stick to a magnet and other objects don't
History: We will be singing our days of the week and learning what day comes next, we will also work on the months of the year and which one comes first

Language Arts: We will be starting something new. We will still be working on recognizing our letters and doing flash cards, but now we will start tracing our letters.
Math: We will again be doing work sheets and starting to trace and draw a circle, square, triangle and heart. We are also going to start learing to identify numbers 1-5 and counting to 25
Social Studies: We will be doing something new for our class this month. Since it's Kansas month we will be talking about our state bird, flower and our state tree. We will aslo teach the class that they live in Topeka, Kansas.

Language Arts: We will be working on the letters P, Q, R, and S this month. We will work on recognizing both the upper and lower case letters.
Math: We will be counting to 25 and spending more time recognizing our colors and shapes. I hope all of you are spending time with your children and reading the shape Family book with them. In class they all seem to be enjoying the song and singing along with the book.
For this month we are going to be talking about my Five Senses I have a fun week planned some fun projects that have to do with each of the senses on Friday we will have popcorn for our snack and review all the senses for snack. Dinosours theme will be finding "fossils" in our sensory table and the Christmas we will be talking about the true meaning of Christmas. and then last we will be talking about winter the different things we can do in the snow and then the different clothes we wear.
