I teach the E4 class in the Elementary Building. I have been a teacher here for almost 4 years. I graduated from ESU in 2004 with a degree in teaching. I enjoy teaching and find it rewarding to see the children learn and grow.

I graduated from Kansas State University in the Spring of 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Services. I am glad for the opportunity to work at Kennedy Academy and am looking forward to learning and growing with the children and staff!

Hello, my name is Rachel Johnson and I teach the P2 classroom. I have been an ordained Children's Minister and have taught Preschool-Elementary Sunday School classes and directed miscellaneous children's programs/Summer Vacation Bible Schools since 2002. I have been with Kennedy Academy since June of 2009 and I look forward to many more years working with children!

I have been working here at Kennedy Academy since June 2009. I have worked in Preschool special Ed for 5 years in USD 501 From there I worked at Security Benefit for two and a half years in the one year old room. Here at Kennedy Academy I'm in the P1 Classroom. I'm married and have one child named Ayden. I love being around kids and spending time with the family.

Hello! My name is Kandice Hamner. I teach in the P3 classroom and have been with Kennedy Academy since May 2010. I graduated from Fort Hays State University in May 2010 with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Unified Education. I am married and have two children ages 11 and 10. I love working with children and feel honored to have the opportunity to work with your children on a daily basis here at Kennedy Academy!

Hi! My name is Ms. Laurie. I am the teacher for the E3 classroom. I was born and raised in Topeka. I graduated from Washburn University in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. After spending the last 5 years at home raising my 3 young children, I am very excited to begin my teaching career at Kennedy Academy! I have worked here since April 2010.

Hi! I'm very excited to be here teaching and caring for your children in E1! I have been married to my husband Brian for 11 years and have 2 children, Paige age 9 and Peyton age 5. We live in the Seaman District where my kids go to school and I previously have worked as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional for kindergarten. I received my bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in 2001 in elementary education. Go Cyclones! We've lived in Topeka for about 3 years and love having this be our home.
